Dear Mom,
There will never be enough words and there will never be exactly the RIGHT words to describe my love and appreciation for you. You raised me to be smart, kind, loving, gentle, and most importantly, God-loving and God-fearing.
Growing up I know I wasn’t the nicest or easiest kid to deal with. I was devious and a bit of a brat but that never stopped you from loving me unconditionally. It was through your constant care and love for me that I first saw Christ’s love. His unconditional, no-matter-what, never-ending love was displayed in you. You taught me right from wrong and I always knew what the right choice was, although more often then not I made the wrong choice. I knew what the consequences were and looking back I believe you raised me in the best possible way.
You and Dad have shown me what a real, honest, true love looks like. It’s not perfect, but it’s beautiful. As I have gotten older I have grown to appreciate how you and Dad are with each other, I know that no matter what, you both love each other like crazy and that you are a team. You were always a united front growing up and I can’t tell you how much that effected me. You two have given me a Godly example of a relationship and I know that THAT is what I want someday.
Now that I’m older and (slightly) more mature, I love that I can say you are my best friend. I love that we go shopping together and that we just hang out. I am so appreciative of how open and honest our relationship is and how you will always tell me the truth. Even when we disagree, the fact that we can just talk about our own opinions and not have it hurt our relationship is amazing.
God has given me the most wonderful mother and I am so thankful. So, my dearest Mother, my best friend and confidant, my book loving, laughter inducing and loving soul, I love you so much.
Happy Mother’s Day Momma.
Love,
Aiselyn
