Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding.

Proverbs 3:5

Trust. Trusting God. Trusting yourself. Trusting your parents, your friends, your boss. Knowing who to trust and when. Having FAITH in God and TRUSTING him no matter what.

School, spouses, money, jobs, family, LIFE. These are a few things that we struggle to give to God.

From the beginning of high school to the end of college (for example), christians in their teens and early twenties struggle with trusting God. There are so many unknowns at this time in our lives and frankly, all we have to do is give it (by it I mean everything) to God. Doing this is so much harder than we ever expected however. We try to do well in high school so that we can have a good base for college. But what do you want to do in college? Do you even want to go to college? Am I going to get married? To who? When? What exactly do you want? Well if asked, most of us would say we want God’s will for us. But the thing is, we haven’t a clue what his will is. Everyday we try to trust God more and everyday it gets a little easier AND a little harder. All at the same time. Our biggest struggle is having full reliance on him.

Day by day we unknowingly are trusting God with the things we take for granted like: having food on the table, a job, a loving family and so many other things. We tend to lack trust when we don’t have control over a situation. As a 17 year old on my way to senior year, trusting God with my future is super hard and a bit terrifying. I want to know RIGHT NOW what the next four years hold for me, but I can’t know and I won’t know until the years pass. God has a plan for me. Jeremiah 29:11 speaks to my heart in such an amazing way. He has a plan and I know it’s going to be a good one. But trusting him with my future is honestly the scariest thing. We have to trust HIM. We have to have full reliance on HIM. Complete and utter faith in HIM.

Psalms 62:2

He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be shaken.
