April 24, 2005.

On this day thirteen years ago I made a decision that changed my life forever. I made the decision to give up all hope in myself and trust God. I decided to take His FREE gift of salvation as my own. That was the best day of my life, and I wanted to share that story. When I was six years old my maternal grandparents had come to visit. I have always been close with my Grandpa Sam and I think I always will be. One Sunday night he had been asked to speak in the gospel meeting at my assembly, and as a little six year old, I wasn’t paying much attention. Sitting next to my Grandma I was looking at my bible and my mind was drifting to other things. I have no remembrance of what the speaker before him talked about or even who it was. My Grandfather was speaking on the crucifixion and had mentioned Jesus’ name several times and I began thinking. I have such a vivid memory of picturing the crucifixion in my head and seeing Christ on the cross, and it was then that it just clicked. Christ died for ME. God gave up His only, precious Son for me. I knew was a sinner and I repented them to God and I just knew that there was nothing I could do for myself, and I completely relied on Christ. That day changed my life forever. I am so grateful for Christ and His death on the cross.

1 Timothy 1:15

For this is a true and faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief.
